Departments of the Army and Air Force
Safety & Occupational Health Office
Dear Dr. Blahnik,

I would like to thank you for a wonderful series of “My Body at Work” presentations for the Department of Military Affairs. Your expertise, dynamic style of presentation and delivery of information was motivating for our employees and Soldiers of the National Guard to use and incorporate within their daily health and fitness regimes.

One of the objectives of our Health and Wellness Process Action Team, of the Department of Military Affairs, is to enhance the well-being of Soldiers, civilian employees, family members and retirees and encourage lifestyles that improve and protect physical, behavioral and spiritual health, and your program enabled us to promote those objectives.

You and your staff received much praise from your performance and employees are hoping your return in the future. Again, thank you for your service to our agency.

Sincerely,
Angela K Joseph-Gaffke, RN, COHN-S
Captain, Wisconsin Army National Guard
Occupational Health Nurse

In answering the Governor’s initiatives on a healthy worksite, we started a Department of Administration (DOA) worksite challenge to get employees engaged in health and wellness. This coupled with the huge response to our Wellness Expo was the motivating factor to start a DOA health and wellness program.

We invited Dr. Emmett Blahnik to our quarterly Employee Assistance Program to present his workshops. Dr. Blahnik provided information that generated more interest in good health. We invited Dr. Blahnik back to present two (2) workshops under the title of Men’s Health Workshop. Both of these educational workshops were well received by the participants. Dr. Blahnik also participated in our annual Wellness Expo that is visited by at least 200 people.

We are truly thankful for Dr. Blahnik’s interest in providing education to our employees on health and fitness that is so hard to come by, particularly from physicians, regardless of their medical background. As long as Dr. Blahnik continues his health and wellness outreach to those that want to learn, we will continue to be a willing participant in inviting him to present workshops.

Thank you again Dr. Blahnik for your time, work, and dedication you have to education people to live a longer and healthy life.

Sincerely,  Tracey Caradine

Our store’s had the privilege of having Dr. Emmett Blahnik, conduct free weekly one hour wellness sessions for our associates. In our location, we utilized the lunch hour and Dr. Emmett spoke in our lounge for all associates who wished to attend.

The sessions were very popular, with associates learning vast amounts of information regarding their health. How the body works, taking care of it in every way, how to avoid illness and stress management were some of the classes. In the latter class, all department managers and members of management were particularly encouraged to attend.

Associates walked away from the sessions better able to cope with time management, and to live healthier life styles, both of which promote less lost time from work.

The Doctors are upbeat, motivated speakers, with genuine concerns for the health of others. In our location, Dr. Blahnik conducted these sessions free of charge and has returned to conduct health screenings free for our customers which through donations raised considerable funds for Wal*Mart’s charities.

I highly recommend this program for you and your associates.

Sincerely,
MaryEllen Broge, Personnel Manager
Ed Kligora, Store Manager

School District Director Daniel Nardeli and Dr. Emmett Blahnik

When I met with Director Daniel Nardeli at the Boys and Girls Club of Dane County, I had asked him what his commitment was to Health Prevention and Wellness for Kids in Dane County and he said, “It’s a Top Priority”.   Consider that Juvenile Diabetes is at an all time high, more kids needing Asthma inhalers then ever before in history and Childhood obesity on the rise ranking America the most unhealthy kids than any other Industrialized country.  The number one cause of death for kids aged 5-9 is cancer and according to new studies this is the first generation in history that is not expected to live as long as previous generations.   Getting good grades is great, but having a happy, healthy child should be, “The Top Priority”  implementing wellness workshops that we offer and others interested in teaching not only the kids, but parents and the community is critical to impacting the health and wellness of our future generations.   Dr. Emmett Blahnik

“Thank you for extending your community outreach program to our employees. The health seminar that you hosted in our Target store break room was a tremendous success. Once again, we appreciate that you volunteered your time to educate and increase awareness of health in the community. We would love to have you here any time.”

“I wanted to take this opportunity to thank you for chairing our health related Lunch-n-Learn over the past few weeks. The information you have passed on to all FARO employees has been both informative and helpful, and made them aware of changes they could do to affect how they feel today. Additionally, your approach to nutrition, exercise, etc is refreshing, fun and in my opinion, “out-of-the-box”. You are very well received by all the employees and they thoroughly enjoy your presentations. Again thank you for sharing your time and knowledge to all FARO employees, and we look forward to many more enjoyable sessions.”

Dr. Emmett Blahnik Speaker at the Boys and Girls Club Hope For Kids Celebration

When Michael Johnson, CEO of the Dane County Boys and Girls Club asked me to speak at the Hope For Kids Celebration Event this last year, it was a humbling experience and was a great reminder to me of my roots growing up part of the club.   I never would have imagined that my part was to help raise I think about $14,000+ dollars that night, donated directly to the kids programs and development with an emphasis on new initiatives we helped create in the area of Wellness.
